Our most frequently asked question is about safeguarding.
Rightly so!
At Litsee, safeguarding is not a feature; it is fundamental to how the platform is designed, built, and used. We take a privacy-first, safety-by-design approach that aligns with UK safeguarding expectations for schools, parents, and charities.
-
No student data stored
We do not collect or store children’s email addresses, full names, or personal identifiers. Students access Litsee through teacher- or parent-controlled sessions, significantly reducing data risk. -
Controlled student inputs
All user inputs are filtered in real time. Inappropriate language, unsafe terms, and banned words are blocked before they can be submitted, preventing misuse or harmful content generation. -
Safeguarded AI content generation
Litsee does not allow open, unrestricted AI prompts. We strictly control what is sent to image and story generation, ensuring outputs remain age-appropriate, safe, and educational. -
Layered AI safety systems
In addition to our own filters and prompt controls, we use AI models with built-in safeguarding and content moderation on the backend. This layered approach ensures multiple levels of protection rather than reliance on a single system.
